2023APCS delegates were invited to participate in an exclusive visit to Victoria Park/ Barrambin, one of Brisbane's most exciting projects during the Summit.
With the release of the Victoria Park/ Barrambin Master Plan in June 2023, Brisbane City Council is transforming Victoria Park/ Barrambin into a natural retreat and urban park for adventure, discovery and reconnection. The park has also been named as the temporary venue for the equestrian, cross country and BMX freestyle events for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games. From a Tree House with views across the city to revitalised wetlands and water holes, come and hear what is planned for the 64 hectares of inner-city green space in Brisbane.
During this visit, delegates received a presentation from speakers involved in the transformation of the park, be afforded the opportunity to ask questions during a live Question-and-Answer session, and take part in a short guided walking tour of the park.
